The District Chief Executive, District Coordinating Director, Assembly Members, Officers and Security Personnels of the various Security Agencies, Management and Staff of Birim South District, District Education Director, NDC Party folks together with the people of Akim Swedru participated in this Nationwide Sanitation Day exercise to ensure sanitary conditions within Akim Swedru and its environs.
The day’s activities included sweeping of streets, clearing of weeds along roads, removal of choked gutters and drainages, cleaning various markets etc.
Assembly members also lead the clean-up exercises in their respective electoral areas to ensure effective coordination and encourage active community participation.
