As part of the Government of Ghana nationwide programme to distribute Free Sanitary pads to School girls to keep them in class and end period poverty.
The Hon. DCE for Birim South District Assembly in the person of Hon. Taaju Abdu Rahim, the District Education Director and His Management team embarked on this course to ensure pupil of Birim South District are not left behind of the President's initiative.
The DCE in his speech reiterated that the main aim for this exercise is to put a stop to school absenteeism and dropouts caused by a lack of menstrual hygiene products. He further urged the pupil to take advantage of this initiative as a source of motivation to eschew any form of truancy and rather take their lessons seriously to become good leaders and citizens of our country.
